Hi Coach,
The most important aspect of shooting from the wing, is to perform the shot as a jump shot. Players should time their run between the defence and move at pace to jump into the area to take the shot.
If the shot is to be placed on the inside of the goal, the shooting arm is brought over the head and in front of the body. If the shot is to be placed on the outside of the goal, the shooting arm is brought parallel to the floor.
Here's a great drill for your to try out to practice shooting from out wide as a winger.
