Self Pass - Dig and Volley rally

To start the exercise, one player volleys the ball to their partner who digs the ball up to themselves then volleys the ball back. The other player then repeats this pattern.

Set, Push and Catch drill Over Net

Two players, one either side of the net. Push the ball in to the air before the set to partner, partner then catches the ball, pushes it into the air and sets to partner.

Throw the ball in the air using two hands, move to where the ball is coming down then jump and catch the ball at the highest point of the jump with arms fully extended.

Throw the ball in the air using two hands, move to where the ball is coming down. Bend your knees and catch the ball as low to the floor as possible whilst remaining on your feet.

2 or 4 in group, standing sideways across the court. Throw the ball over the net so the other person can catch the ball. Try with 2 hands under arm, over ahead and with one foot in front of the other (like serving under arm). Try 1 hand over head, left foot forward for right handed players left foot forward for left handed players. Try with straight arm over head.

Volleyball Tennis

2 players, 1 ball and a hoop Each player stands about 1.5m away from the hoop. Throw the ball via a bounce ball in the hoop to the other player making it as difficult as possible for the other player to catch the ball. After catching the ball the other player throws the ball back as quickly as possible to make the player move. A point is scored as soon as one of the players drops the ball.
