For this practice you need 8 players per group. Set out 4 cone in a square about 5 metres apart. Set out 2 flags a further 5 - 10 metres away from the square . and finally a finishing post. The race is for the runner to beat the ball being thrown via every gold player to the finishing post.
The skill of the practice is to position the 2 flags around which the fir=elders have to throw the ball just far enough away for the runners to have a chance of beating the fielders to the post.
and vice versa if you want the runner to win positioning the posts a bit further away so it takes the fielders a bit longer to get the ball round to the finishing post.
