Step by Step Dive - Facing the attack

The keeper is vulnerable on the ground so it is imperative that they return to the ready position immediately. From the dive position the keeper rolls onto their front. Bring the arms and hands into a push-up position and push the body up bringing the back knee forward. The keeper then raises the torso whilst turning to face the play. Arms are spread wide to present a wide, aggressive target Hold this position until the keeper determines the threat (they might have to dive again) before returning to the ready position.

Extras

The dive (to the left)

From the full leg block position; turn the left boot slightly forward and lean over the boot thrusting the arms in the same direction to give the body additional momentum. The keeper essentially falls over to their side.

Extras

The dive (to the right)

From the right full leg block position; turn the right boot slightly forward and lean over the boot, thrusting the arms in the same direction to give the body additional momentum.
