Handball Drill Demonstration
|
Description
The attacking players take it in turns to forward and take on the defender.
They are not trying to score, instead all they are trying to do is get past them through use of change of pace and speed.
Players should continue to try and get past the defender for at few seconds - if they are unable to get past they should then run across to the other side of the court before joining the back of the other queue.
Coaching points
Defenders are looking to make life difficult for the attackers here. They should keep a low center of gravity and bent knees to allow them to quickly and easily change direction in order to block off the attacker's route towards goal.
