Gymnastics Drill Demonstration

Description

  • Standing with heels together but toes slightly apart and with arms to the horizontal, swing arms up to the front, flex knees and jump.
  • Twist 180.
  • Land with flexed knees, arms to the horizontal, hold, and stand.

    Coaching points

  • If rotating to the right, look over the right shoulder keeping the eyes looking high.
  • Arms need to be high during the twist but lowered to horizontal on landing to control rotation.
  • Twist to the left and right.
