'Speedboats' - walk across pool with arms out in front, hands together - forming a V shape. Blow bubbles in the gap between the arms.
Tell the children to pretend they are dolphins (or other animals that can push a ball in water with their nose!) - this helps distract nervous ones from the fact theirfaces will be close to the water.
