X throws ball up and A must the pass the 2nd ball to X, who catches passes to B.

X then catches the original ball and throws it up again, while B passes the 2nd ball back to X who passes it on to A who then catches original ball again.

Pass Invaders:

Split the team into two groups.

The players run to the cone and then pass the ball square before running on to the next cone and pass square. When the players reach the end they have to run back through the middle of the cones.

The practice keeps repeating.

Passing

Pass within a channel:

Set up the 10m x 40m Grid as shown.

4 cones and 1 ball per group.

Split the group into teams of three. On the coaches command the players start running up the channel passing between them, once they reach the end they turn around and come back repeating the passing.

Passing circle:

Place 2 players in the centre. Both players pass to those running the circle.

Notice that the gap between the passer and the catcher has narrowed because there are now 2 players acting as passers.

Pass and run:

Set-up a 10 meter grid with a player on each corner.

Player 1 starts with the ball.

Player 1 passes the ball to player 2 and then quickly moves off their cone and runs to the cone where player 2 is and back to their cone.

Player 2 then passes to player 3, follows the pass to the position of player 3 and back to their starting position.

The aim is to for the players to be back in their starting position before the ball returns back.
