Rounders: Run out at first post

The days of scratching practice drills and plays on scraps of paper...
Andrew

DESCRIPTION

This clip shows you the batter being run out at first post. The batter has struck at a good bowl but missed the ball and has to run to first post. The back stop having caught the ball throws the ball to the first post player who catches and touches the post with the ball before the batter reaches the same post.

COACHING POINTS

Each batter has the right to one good ball only.

When the bowler bowls a good ball the batter must run to first post after having hit, attempted to hit , or let pass the ball.

  • The only time they would have the right to 3 good balls is when they are the only batter left in on the entire square.
