This starts off as a 1 vs 1 as the attacking players dribble the ball out around the cone and then run towards goal to beat the defender.
However, the attacking players are allowed to make use of the spare man to get past the defender or if they feel that the passing option is being blocked they can go it alone.
This is effectively a decision making exercise. The player on the ball must make the correct decision in order to progress towards goal, to beat the defender and to get the shot off on goal.
Ensure players don't always repeat the same action - in order to do this the defender should vary the way they try to win the ball - sometimes going to the dribbler and other times covering the space.
Rotate player's roles regularly.
