George Frisby Coach, Ireland

DESCRIPTION

The 4 blues in the top square will start with the ball Their role will be to hold on to the ball either through handpassing or hurley passing until such time as they can pick out one of their team mates in blue on the other side. If they complete a pass then it is a score. If it a clean catch then they get two points. You can also turn it into 3 v 3 whcih will make it tougher for guys to maintain posession buth there should be more chances for the guys on the other side to get away from their marker

COACHING POINTS

Encouraging guys not to panic on the ball and hold posession until the pass is on. Guys without the ball need to try and close down the space. The two guys on the other side need to make good runs otherwise they have no chance of getting the ball. The team of 4 need to mark up to avoid the other guys getting easy posession
