We are working with two groups shooting into one goal.The red group on the goal line kick pass to the reds further out the pitch.The player out the pitch solos in towards goal.Blue is a coach with a tackle bag. The player shoulders the tackle bag, steadies himself and then kicks over the bar.The player who passed the ball joins the back of the shooting line and the shooter joins the passing.
The pass and catch are as important as the shot, work on technique kicking through the laces.Tell the lads to steady themselves after the shoulder and before taking their shot.Tell the lads to hold the ball tight in the tackle.If lads are struggling badly with kick pass, change to a solo and hand pass.
