-Hang onto the side of the wall, and place the feet at a 10 o'clock angle, ask the swimmers to take a deep breath and sink down the wall pushing off in a streamlined position
-Push off slightly on side not on the back
-Stand in the shallow end, just inside the flags and facing the wall
-Swimmers may swim in, ensuring it is still relaxed at a comfortable pace
-Pull back with one arm followed by the other
-The head tucks into the chest and the eyes spot the knees
-Turn straight over as practised but just as the feet hit the wall you turn slightly rather than straight up
Repeat this process 4 times per swimmer
To progress the swimmers from this: swimmers accelerate into the wall and focus purely on this angle of feet hitting the wall and where there arms are during the flip turn-if necessary swimmers can add the pool buoys back in to ensure the correct arm position.
Organisational points: Ensure swimmers try this one by one
Coaching points: This is completed by practise, so enable swimmers to repeat the drill over combined with coach feedback for improvements to be made
