Activity: 4 Corner Soccer
Step 1: Divide students into 4 teams
Step 2: Within teams students each get a number 1-5. Every group must have a 1,2,3,4 and 5. If your numbers are uneven some students may need to be 2 numbers. (Try to group numbers based on ability) ex: 1 is all your most advanced players and they're evenly distributed among each team.
Step 3: Explain the game is 4 corner soccer elimination style. Once your team is scored on they are eliminated and all your teams players must leave field and stand behind the bench. To be eliminated the ball must hit the bench which will be laying down flush. Once all the teams are eliminated the last team standing will receive a point and the next round will begin with new numbers being called out.
Step 4: Call out 2 numbers at a time, for example "1 and 2". The two players on each team who are assigned that number for their team run out and try to score on the other team. Have number 1 start as the goalie and then rotate through.
Step 5: After all numbers have had chance to play a round make #2 the goalie and continue the process. Repeat until all students have had an opportunity to play a round as goalie.
Keep track of the score over the course of the class.
