Throwing and Dodging pratice.
Blue A - Represents players who are throwing.
Red A's - Represents players who will be running from one side of the court to the next one.
The Red A's will run from one side of the court to the other side. The aim for them is to make sure you don't get hit with a dodgeball.
The Blue A's will have a dodgeball each and have to aim for the players running, the blues can only move up or down the line that they're on.
If the Red A's get hit, they grab a ball and join the Blue's. The last player standing is the winner.
As a coach: You need to make sure you are motivating players to dodge the ball in different ways, eg: jumping, movement. encourgement will be the key with the skill.
The players throwing the ball, make sure that they are trying to use a good aim and whilst throwing watch their movement see if they is any improvements needed you can help and encourge them to try different ways.
Handball demands explosive power, repeated sprint ability, and the strength to compete physically for 60 minutes. Sport-specific conditioning develops the athletic qualities that underpin elite performance.
Handball matches are won and lost in critical moments. Mental toughness determines who executes under pressure, who recovers from setbacks, and who maintains concentration throughout 60 intense minutes.
Deception is the great equaliser in handball. Smaller, less powerful players can beat defenders through feints and misdirection. Mastering these skills creates breakthrough opportunities against even the most organised defences.
