Place your finger in the middle of the back of your partner and try and keep it there. The partner then walks around changing direction, stopping, starting and side-stepping etc.

Knee tag

Partners stand facing each other about arms distance apart, one of the partners is the tagger who tries to touch the partner on the knee the other has to avoid being tagged whilst remaining close.

Roll and Sit

In pairs 3-4 metres apart, roll the ball to your partner so as to make them move to either side, before they let the ball roll through their legs and sit on the ball.

Roll spin and sit - Part 1

In pairs, one player rolls the ball out along the floor. Once the ball has been released, the partner has to run past the ball, Wait for the ball to approach them Then squat and sit on the ball without using their hands for balance or trapping the ball in between their legs.

Roll spin and sit - Part 2

In pairs, one player rolls the ball out along the floor and their partner has to run past the ball, wait for the ball to approach them and let the ball roll between their legs before running ahead of the ball again and waiting for it to roll towards them again. Players should then squat and sit on the ball without using their hands for balance or trapping the ball in between their legs.

Rolling Ball

One partner has a ball on the floor and keeping hands in contact with the ball tries to move from one side of court to the other trying to get past the partner. The partner keeps a good ready position and tries to stay in front of the ball. Once they have moved from one side of court to the other, change over who has the ball.

Run out in front 1.

With a partner players stand side by side. One partner rolls the ball for the other to run out, past it by 2-3 metres, before turning to face the ball, lay face down and lets the ball hit the top of their head. They then pick up the ball run back and repeat.

Run out in front 2.

With a partner players stand side by side, with one partner rolling the ball for the other to run past it by 2-3 metres turns to face the ball and lets it go through their legs. They then turn to run past the ball again, face the ball, lay face down and let the ball hit the top of their head. They then pick up the ball run back and repeat.

Sit on the ball

This fun warm up sees players working in pairs 3-4 meters apart. To start the game the first player rolls the ball to their partner who lets the ball go between their legs before trying to stop the ball by sitting on top of it. Drill continues in this way.

Stop with head

In pairs, one player rolls the ball out along the floor, once the ball has been released, the partner has to run past the ball and stop it with their head.Coaching point: ensure the players run past the ball and the ball approaches them. This mimics the game as player should always be behind the ball and facing the target where they want the ball to go

Tag

Partners stand facing each other about arms distance apart, one of the partners is the tagger who tries to touch the partner on the back, the other tries to avoid being tagged by keeping their chest facing the tagger whilst remaining within arms reach (no running away) Both players should be in a well balanced ready position so they can move and change direction at any time.

Toe Tapping

Both players stand with their arms straight and hands on the shoulders of their playing partner. The aim of the game is to lightly touch the top of your partner's foot with your foot.
