Your mission, if you wish to accept it, is to improve your players' catching skills under pressure.
When the ball is thrown quickly at your players or there's a player running towards them do they panic and drop the ball? If so this session can help!
To teach your players to catch with confidence we recap the basics (see below) and then practice taking catches on the move and throwing accurately to the post under pressure.
Catching Technique Recap:
Step 1. Stand with feet shoulder width apart and knees bent.
Step 2. Palms of your hand should be together, with fingers spreading and pointing down.
Step 3. Arms and hands should be in front of the body with head still and eyes level.
Step 4. Watch the ball into the softest part of your relaxed hands and wrap fingers around the ball. Drawing the hands towards the body.
