Set Up:

Players work in groups of 3 with 2 balls.

Players A, B and C should be spread out over 20m, with player C standing in the centre between 2 cones.


The Drill:

  1. Player A rolls the ball between the cones towards player C.
  2. Player C moves towards the ball, picks it up and releases it underarm back to player A.
  3. Player C then turns and repeats the drill from player B.

Player C to work for 30 seconds then rotate i.e A to C, C to B, and B to A.

Coaching points

Fielder to start off low, stay low to pick up, follow through releasing the ball below their knee.
