Ask the players to spread themselves and have 1 ball for the players to throw or roll the ball to each other.
The player in the middle has to try and catch the player in possession of the ball. or get to the ball before a player does if it is badly thrown.
The player that makes the mistake swaps into the middle.
When introducing this game to very young players (6-8) it may be best that one of the coaches is in the middle trying to catch the player in possession so they can give the players time to gather the ball and throw it to the next player.
Once all the players understand and are able to throw and gather quick enough for the game to work put one of the young players in the middle and the coach can have a rest!
