This netball session improves how your players get the ball off their goal line with a fast throw in. The drills in this plan will see your players using leading runs, screening and double lead passes to quickly move the ball up court to launch the attack.
By timing their runs, and thinking of different ways to take the throw in, your team can will be less predictable and reduce the chances of having the ball intercepted close to their own goal.
What's in the Session?
To develop attacking options on a defensive goal line throw in this session works on changes of direction, communication and timing of the run.
We begin with a simple game of bulldog as it helps players to start thinking about how to beat the defenders/catchers before then looking at more complex skills including leading runs, screening and double lead passes.
