Often young netball players throw the ball at the hoop which can result in a lot of rebounded shots. However, by using the metaphor "Make a Rainbow" you can help your players visualise the correct shooting form to get the ball up and over - helping them to become a top goal shooter.What's in the Session?
To get your players shooting with loop we kick things off with three rainbow pattern warm ups, teaching your players to focus on getting height on their shots and shooting with a flick of the wrist.
After this we up the tempo and work on Speed Footwork and Shooting in a series of driving drills, designed to get your players sprinting into the circle, using 1-2 footwork and shooting at the goal hoop with accuracy. We then finish this goal scoring session with a conditioned game to see which team can make the most shots in the allotted time!
