The first fundamental stage of defence is to shadow the opposition and go for the interception.
What?s in the Session?
The session begins with a fun warm-up game where concentration is key. The game encourages friendly competition, whilst also focusing on your players reaction time. The session develops to go through the correct body positioning whilst defending and provides drills to enable your players to practice this. The session also works on reinforcing the defensive principle of being ball side and the importance of this to gain interceptions. The session concludes with a normal game of netball, with certain conditions placed upon the game to get your players demonstrating what they have learnt.
The session allows your player?s to combine all 3 stages of defence, but specifically focused on the first stage. This will allow your players to deny and limit the opposition space to gain possession.
