How can your team defend the circle efficiently and limit the number of goals conceded? Players need to be able to communicate effectively to force the shooters to shoot from the outer edge of the circle. Pressure needs to be applied on the outside edge of the circle too in order to force an error and limit the options for the shooters.
What's in the session?
We have drills focused on defensive units working effectively together to stop the opposition from scoring a goal. Also, limiting the space of the shooters within the circle forcing them to shoot from further away from the post.
Each practice has progressions to stretch and challenge your more able players and conditions to support your developing players.

Develop your players existing defensive skills and reinforce the key defending principles of denying space and limiting attacking options to force an error to gain possession of the ball.
Develop your player's ability to execute a strong, direct and accurate pass to help maintain possession of the ball.
Develop your player's understanding of how to use their body to dominate and limit the space available to their opponents focusing on a centre pass scenario.
