This session looks at developing your players' defending capabilities, aiming to help your team deny and limit attacker's space and to force errors by applying pressure on the ball and timing drives to intercept the ball.
What 4 things are we working on?
1. Stance - Weight evenly distributed over feet, stood shoulder width apart
2. Keep it legal - Defender must be 3ft (1 metre) away from the attacker's landing foot when marking 3. Defence Tip - Defender push up on toes to make themselves as big as possible 4. Look big - One hand marking the ball and the other hand marking the spaceSo let's use what we learnt in the 1st stage of defence and turn the pressure up to win back the ball even quicker!
