Description
Pass B2-B2 (wing) back to B2 who throws at the goal. After the shot the attaquer becomes defender and the defender becomes attaquer. In the meanwhile ther is a shot on the right side.
Coaching points
Feint as if to throw a high shot and lower your arm at the very lats moment. In fact do as you normally do : keep arm high, to surprise defenders when doing differently.
To begin with defenders will deliberately form a bit of an X shape, with arms wide in the air. This will leave a gap for the attackers to shoot through.
As the drill progresses you can give the defenders a more active role - allowing them to make more substantial efforts to intercept the ball.
Progression
- Defender acts as if to block the normal center shot by holding his arms high to give space for the shot at hip height.
- Defender holds arms high OR low : attaquer has to make a choice : center shot normal OR hip height.
- Defender is really active to prevent throwing.
