DESCRIPTION

  • Gymnast starts in long lie position.
  • Partner grasps thighs above the knee and holds gymnast in wheel barrow position.
  • With co-operation the gymnast raises the chest off the mat with straight arms moving forward until the chest retakes the body weight.
  • The action is then repeated
  • The arms are kept straight throughout.

  • COACHING POINTS

  • This skill requires excellent co-operation between partners and should not be attempted unless the teacher is confident.
  • The gymnast must control the speed of the movement.
