
Introduce the correct method of holding a ball to the group from various angles. 1. one point of the ball faces up to the sky the other point down to the ground 2. keep two hands on the ball with fingers and thumbs spread out as wide as possible 3. keep the ball chest height so you can see where you are going Move on to explain the game. The instructions are as follows: 1. Taggers will be the ones with a rugby ball. The aim is to tag people with out a rugby ball on the body. If they successfully tag someone, the person they tag must stand still like they are stuck in the mud with their arms out to the side. 2. participants that are not stuck in the mud must try to free their team mates by running underneath one of the arms the person that is stuck has up and out to the side. 3. encourage the use of the correct technique to hold the ball as best as possible 4. after 1-2 mins swap over with new taggers. repeat this cycle until everyone has had a go
