Kate Bell Coach, Australia

DESCRIPTION

Blue cones are placed 10 meters from each other, and the red cones placed in the middle of the 10 meters and about 1 meter apart. Two players stand on/next to the red cones, they will be the taggers, the other players line up behind the blue cones. Their job s to get pasted the two taggers without being tagged. Once a tag is removed the players continue to run until both tags are removed and this is when a change of taggers will happen. Rotate until everyone has had a go at tagging.

COACHING POINTS

Key points to look for is fending, covering of the tags while running, and jumping. these are a big issue when having new players come in. Encourage the twist, hip and spin when the kids are running up to the taggers, congradulate taggers on making good tags.
