DESCRIPTION

Activity: Start off by identifying the correct technique of a run and starting by practicing on the spot then: Start on the first cone slowly lean forward and start to fall into first step step between the cones, with the stride slowly getting bigger Verbal Cues: Head upPump the armsKeep looking straightLift your knees Teaching Notes: Proficient runners run on their forefeet or heel–toe. A forward body lean maintains the forward momentum and allows feet to push against the running surface. Hands should be relaxed or closed loosely in a fist. Ensure the runners sprint ("run as fast as they can") rather than jog. The skill criteria for a jog are slightly different.
