With the arms behind the swimmer and extended, swim into the wall and complete a straight over tumble turn keeping the arms in the same position and push off on the back
If the swimmer begins to use their arms to propel their bodies over, then go back to using two pool buoys to correct this
To progress the swimmers further so that they are prepared for competitive situations, add in arm strokes before the wall, however the arms must be in this extended position behind the body before the turn is conducted.
Organisational points: Start in the shallow end, just inside the flags and facing the wall
Coaching points: Hands behind the swimmers body with the palms facing upwards, take a big breath and start kicking towards the wall, keep arms extended behind (imagine still holding the noodle/pool buoys in the hands)
