DESCRIPTION

Split the group into two equal numbers (the coach can join in if there is an odd number). Give one camper the ball and have their teammates form a circle around them (give space between teammates so that the circle is not very tight). Leave a gap in the circle for the camper who is in the middle to leave the circle. Have the designated camper throw the ball as far as they can out and over the circle. After throwing the ball the camper in the middle runs to the outside of the circle and tries to run around the circle as many times as possible. Each time they make it a lap around the circle they score one point. While one team has a child running circles the other team is trying to recover the thrown ball. Once they pick up the ball they form a line behind the player with the ball. Then they pass the ball between their legs until it reaches the last person - once the last person gets the ball the whole line must sit down - this indicates that the round is over and the circling team must stop running. The game repeats itself and now the last player of the recovering team throws the ball and they get to be the circling team. This will repeat itself for a few rounds or till one team scores a certain amount of points
