DESCRIPTION

  • player with ball jogs to midfield line
  • when ball carrier approaches picking player moves down to set pick
  • at the same time player makes a LOUD!! cut to goal and V cuts back 
  • cutting player runs off the picker's shoulder with stick in catching position
  • shoots quickly and on the run!
  • picking player rolls out and up to space to support and become an option
  • work each side individually then at the same time later in drill

COACHING POINTS

  • ball make the right decision on when to pass
  • picks and cuts must be timed!
  • cutting player must be LOUD!!! to grab defenders attention
  • cutting player has stick in catchin position
  • catch and shoot quickly!!
  • player who picks rolls out and up to become a 2nd option for ball carrier
