no. You should have a Level One Certificate in coaching, and if they pupils are Under 18 you should have a Code of Ethics Certificate.

The old Level One coaching award allows you to coach independently. However, the current Level One only allows you to work as an assistant coach. This means you must be supervised by a Level Two ( or higher) coach.
