Handball: break verdedigen

Pass from A to B, from B to C, from C to E - either B-C or E throws at the goal.

When one of the backcourt players  shoots that is the signal for defender D1 and D2 to go for the fast break.

Backcourt players who did not throw at the goal, turn around and sprints back to intercept the long pass.

Goalkeeper throws long pass every time the same way and trains in this way B-C-E to go for the interception.

Variations:

- goalshot into the goal and goalkeeper has to pick up the ball first and throw the long pass.

In this move the winger start with the ball and passes the keeper who returns the pass to the center back.

At this point the wing back and the winger both make a forward run. Once the wing back receives the pass from the center back the defender is then free to run forward to put pressure on the wing back.

The wing back must read the situation and decide on the best way to progress the attack. They can either pass the ball to the winger who has made a looping run behind them or they can carry the ball forward themselves for the shot on goal.

Drill continues until a shot/interception has been made.

Pass B1-B2-B1 who throws at the goal.
Defender R1 tries to prevent throwing when players are really capable of doing center shot when running. At first defender 'helps' them a bit by defending not really hard. Always attack the players from the SIDE!!
