Handball: Jump shot after receiving pass left/right

Excellent site. Very concise and easy to use. I'll definitely be emailing...
David, Handball Coach

DESCRIPTION

Pass B1-R1 who throws at the goal
Pass B3-R1 who throws at the goal

8-10 balls

COACHING POINTS

Make players jump off at 8-9 metres, not too any closer and not any further away. After the shot retreat backwards to former position.

Catching balls from left or right make a lot of difference. Players should be able to perform a good jump shot after catching balls from both siede equally well.

PROGRESSION

Add a defender.

  1. Defender acts as if to block the shot by holding his arms high to give space for the shot next to the defender's arms..
  2. Defender jumps up to block the shot.
  3. Defender is really active to prevent a goal shot.
