DESCRIPTION

Players A pass to B, move to left (right) and back to the center, get pass back from B and shoot at the goal against blocking defenders 2. Defenders should make the gap close, but not completely close off everything. There should always be a gap between the cones.

COACHING POINTS

Ask for good passing on time and clear defenders' behaviour.

Players A pass to B, move to left (right) and back to the center, get pass back from B and pass to either C1 or C2 who come forward to screen defender 1 in the back who throws at the goal.

Shooting with large groups 4:

Players A pass to B, move to left (right) and back to the center, get pass back from B and:
- shoot themselves after breakthrough
- shoot from the distance after feinting defender 1
- pass to either C1 or C2 who come forward to screen defender 1 in the back who throws at the goal

Try to score - 3v2:

Set up your players up in three equal lines. Only the player at the start of line 1 has a ball.

Blue 1 starts the drill with a pass to blue 2 who runs onto the ball and tries to break past the two defenders. If they are unable to find space for the shot they must pass to player 3 who repeats the process.

Drill continues in this way (blue1 - blue2 - blue3 - blue1...)until an opening for the shot has been created.
