Blue player 1 is the feeder in this drill and throws the ball to the players attempting to penetrate the defence.
Blue players 2, on both sides of the court, take it in turns to run towards the defenders and try to find a gap through which they can run and make a shot on goal.
If the attacker is shut out by the two defenders they can throw a one-two pass to blue player 3 and move into space to have one more attempt at breaking through.
After 4 attempts each the attacking players rotate clockwise.
Defenders:
Keep arms in front of you and slightly bent.
Prevent attackers from coming between your arms and move laterally with the attacker, always staying between the goal and the attacker.
Feet movement is very important - never jump, keep close contact with the floor and take small short steps so that you can quickly change direction and block off the attacker.
