Handball: team fast break

Pass B1 to first B1, pass to B2, runs around him and passes back to B1 number 3.

Player 1 acts as the feeder in this drill. Taking it in turns one attacking player from each side receives the pass and then runs on to try and get past the defender stood near the 7 meter line. If they get past the attacker should try and score a goal. Once they have had a shot players rotate - so the attacker becomes the defender and the defender joins the back of the attacking line.

Blue player 1 is the feeder in this drill and feeds to the ball to one of the players to either their left or right for them to run onto. The blue player with the ball must then run onto the ball and try to get past the two defenders on their side of the court and shoot on goal.

Players stand with back into the direction of the goal. Pass to a feeder and sprint around the cone, receive the ball back from the feeder and throw at the goal, the other palyer sprints around the cone and acts as a defender to prevent the goalshot. Thre are an extra attacker and defender in the goalarea to assist. Als o wing players can join in to score a goal.

Attacker 1 dribble towards the goal is defended by defender red 1 and passes to attacker 2 who throws at the goal. Once done, they get their balls back and go to the other queue.

Two lines of players on both sides of the court and four defenders inside the 9m line. The attacking player makes a zig-zag run around the first defender and shoots at goal before rejoining the back of the line. Once the keeper has the ball the centre left defender makes a run to receive the fast throw out. Meanwhile the left back shifts across to fill the hole and a player from the other queue also comes across to fill in. Repeat this until all players in the line have taken their shot and then repeat on the other side.

B dribbles around the cones and tries to score a goal on this part of the court. A and B change positions after they have returned.

Simple fast break drill with two lines of players (one on each side) and a feeder/coach standing in the middle. The player at the front of the line passes the ball to the feeder in the middle and then sprints towards the goal. The feeder returns the ball, passing the ball in front of the runner, for them to run onto and shoot with a quick center shot! The attackers should go all the way to the goal line. Low shots are more effective!!

Pass B1-B2-B1 who throws at the goal. Defender R1 tries to prevent throwing when players are really capable of doing center shot when running. At first defender 'helps' them a bit by defending not really hard. Always attack the players from the SIDE!!

The attackers line on both sides if the court, each with a ball, and take it in turns to run forwards, take the ball round the defender and have a half pace shot on goal (making it easy for the keeper to gather the ball). As soon as the defender sees the keeper make the save they then make their move up field - presenting themselves as a passing option for the keeper. The keeper should then release the ball into the path of the break-away defender who then moves up field to the centre line before then jogging to rejoin the back of the line to go again.

Pass from A to B, from B to C, from C to E - either B-C or E throws at the goal. When one of the backcourt players  shoots that is the signal for defender D1 and D2 to go for the fast break. Backcourt players who did not throw at the goal, turn around and sprints back to intercept the long pass. Goalkeeper throws long pass every time the same way and trains in this way B-C-E to go for the interception. Variations: - goalshot into the goal and goalkeeper has to pick up the ball first and throw the long pass.

A1 sprints to the throw off line and receives a pass from B1, dribbles to the other side and scores a goal, collects his ball, comes back and takes a new position in the A queue.
