DESCRIPTION

Pass A-D-A and 1:1 action against defender.
Second pass is A-D-A and 1:1 action against defender.

Drill can be done on left and right at the same time.

All players except the feeders change positions.

COACHING POINTS

All 1:1 actions fair and frontally towards attackers.

Arms slightly bent forward and use fasr feed to attack the attacker.

Take on your man | 327 close defence for attacker

Take on your man:

The player in possession dribbles towards their defender until they are face to face with them.

Once facing the defender they must try and shuffle, run and push past their maker.

close defence for attacker:

Pass 1-2-1 shot : defender blocks.
Pass 4-3-4 who feints and tries to score.

Out and Defend - 1v1 defence | 327 close defence for attacker

Out and Defend - 1v1 defence:

Player 1 (the feeder) stands in the middle of the court and passes the ball to player 3.

Player 3 then tries to break through the defence and defender 1 tries to prevent the shot on goal.

Straight away after the attack has finished (with an interception or a shot on goal) the feeder passes to player 2 who also now tries to break through.

Repeat this four time (8 attacking moves in total) and then rotate positions and give the defending players the chance to catch their breath.

1v1 Defending the Pivot:

Player passes to the pivot who then tries to turn and shoot.

The defender must work hard to mirror the pivot and prevent them from shooting on goal.
