Handball: Balancing Circuit

Sitting on a roaller board. Move yourself over a distance of 10 mtrs. Two teams of 4-5 children. Over both feet a marker. At the end of the course : put both markers on the board and roll it back to the next player.

Use skateboards or furniture transporters. Kids pull themselves along the benches. When sitting - lying on the board.

Kids walk across a bench. With each step move a ball under the front leg.

Kids move sidewards across a bench. - holding a ball in two hands - dribbling

Students walk across a thick rope which is on the floor. Students put the rope on the floor themselves in a certain shape Walk on the rope while dribbling Walk on the rope backward Walk on the rope sideward

Small steps across the narrow end of the bench The bench will move down if the players reach a certain point, both forwards and backwards While crossing: Circle a ball around your waist While crossing pass a ball to a player

Thick mat with medicine balls under it. 1.Stand on it 2.On all fours 3.Push up with lower arms on the mat. 4.On one leg Other players move the mat to and fro. Slowly becoming more active.

Move on on a cardboard tube, supporting yourself with two othe tubes.

Skip rope on a small mat Skip with both legs Skip with one leg More skilled older players can jump on a thick mat

Lie on your back. Knees slightly bent. Arms stretched. Just raise your head and upper body for a few inches and lie down again.

Lie on your back. Raise your head a bit and move your left elbow to your left knee and move your right leg to your right knee. Variations: Left elbow to right knee and right elbow to left knee. 

Get into pairs. Lie on the back with feet and heads opposite. Raise your legs with straight knees, grab each others hands. Lift your legs and put them down again at the other side of each others legs.

Benches, upside-down, a balancing snake (a thick rope will also do!), a balancing disc and a rolling board (a furniture transportation board will also do!). Two groups of players going through the circuit.

When players are moving around hitting their balloons, they must try and hit other balloons out of the semi circle.

Two players hit the balloons to each other. Which team can do this most times without losing control? Which team can reach 25 passes first? Try passing the balloon high. Try passing the baloon low. As players skill levels improv try passing with a bouncing balloon.

Players are moving around using sidesteps, playing their balloons. Which player will make it to the other side first? variations: - Hit the balloonwith one hand - Hit the ball with both hands - Play the ball using their heads

Two players hold the balloon with one hand each and together run to the other side. variations: - Move with sidesteps - Holding the balloon between the two stomachs of the players - Hold the balloons between the two heads of the players - Holding the balloon between the two backs of the players

Benches in a star shape. Who can jump most benches in one minute? Variations: Hop on and off the bench with one leg, each time with a different leg Hop on and off the bench, each time with the same leg Hop on the bench and off with two legs Hop over the bench with one leg, every time another leg Hop over the bench with one leg, each time with the same leg Hop over the bench sidewards with two legs
