Backward Handstand Bridge

Start in short sit on box or block at an arms lenght height. Reach backwards so that hands reach the floor. Keep feet on the block to form handstand bridge. Move shoulders over hands by rocking. Raise one leg vertically and with a shoulder rock followed by a backward kickwith the raised leg exit with backward step.

Start in modified bridge position with feet on the end of a bench. Place hands on floor by ears. Keep feet on the bench to form handstand bridge. Move shoulders over hands by rocking. Raise one leg vertically and with a shoulder rock followed by a backward kickwith the raised leg exit with backward step.

Kick to handstand with hands a sitting distance from the wall. Allow hips to pass over the hands. Legs to contact wall bars Exit with backward step.

Lunge to handstand with hands placed away from wall bars. Teacher supports legs and places feet on the bars. Pupil moves one leg vertically backwards to gain handstand split position. Kick back to exit

Start in modified bridge Teacher supports with one hand in the small of the back the other behind the knee. Pupil rises to bridge and raises leg. With the support of the teacher the pupil rocks to allow shoulders to move above hands. On the count of three the teacher supports back and lifts the raised leg over. Pupil kicks backwards to exit.

Pupil stands with one leg raised. Teacher supports with one hand in small of back and the other behind the raised knee. Pupil reaches back to bridge with teacher supporting body weight. Pupil kicks back, aided by the teacher, when hips are over hands. Exit to stand.

Kick up to handstand against wall bars placing hands near to wall. Lower hips and exit with backward step.

Kick up to handstand against wall bars placing hands close to wall. Lower hips and exit with backward step

Lie in modified bridge position with hands near to ears and knees fully bent. Rise to bridge Raise one leg rocking backwards so that shoulders are above hands. Exit to lie.
