Gymnastics: Putting Course

SET-UP:
Use either a yellow ball or brightly coloured tee as the 'Jack'
Split the group into teams of 4
Each team needs a putter and 1 ball per player each team needs to mark their balls to tell them apart from the opposition.

ACTIVITY:
Players putt their balls alternately in teams of 4. All balls nearest to the 'jack' scores points for the team. First to 21 is the winner

SET-UP:
On the practice area, mark out a 'fairway' using cones. Set up a hitting area behind the 'fairway'.

ACTIVITY:
In turn team members try to hit their ball from the hitting area onto the fairway. Winner is the team with the most balls on the fairway.

Scatter some cones (divots) across the area, some the right way up, and some upside down. Split the group into two teams - 'Hackers and Greenkeepers' - and spread them out across the area.

On the word 'Go' the Hackers run round turning the divots upside down and the Greenkeepers must turn them the right way up.

The design and creation of your Tri-Golf course is completely up to you or the children
who are going to play it.Things to consider when designing the course are the
participants age, ability, experience, knowledge; condition of the area, i.e. slopes,
undulations, etc.; space available and format to be played. General guidelines are that
each Tri-Golf hole should measure in the region of 20-50 metres in length, with a green
approximately 2-4 metres in diameter.Teeing areas can be shown using markers, cones,
