Players handball the ball along the short sides and kick pass along the diagonals.

Player runs towards first ball ,picks it up and handpasses to red player 2. who replaces the ball and takes up the blue player's position at the start.
The blue player continues to the 2nd ball, picks it up and handpasses to the next player and continues in this way to the end of the course.
Each player moves down one position so the blue player becomes the final player and the each red player moves up one position (so player 2 becomes player 1, player 3 becomes player 2 and so on.)

The fat side run is a tactic used to get the ball to a leading tall forward, who is able to lead into space (the coned area) on the "fat Side" of the ground.
The term "Fat Side" is used to describe the area of the ground where there are few players and plenty of free space. It is usually created when forwards, and their opponents move to one side of the ground.
