1. "DONNER" (1st part) call will come from COACH and repeated by ALL PLAYERS on and off the field 2. Person on ball puts FULL PRESSURE, adjacents LOCK OFF and other players move slightly out to their players but are NOT LOCKED OFF, they are still there to help slide if needed 3. Once ball moves slightly above or below GLE, Goalie will call "BLITZ" (2nd part) and sprint across the restraining line 4. Designated attacker will be waiting on the restraining line positioning themselves to be on the side where ball is so they can QUICKLY go to DOUBLE as soon as Goalie crosses the restraining line 5. In "BLITZ" ALL PLAYERS ARE LOCKED OFF! 6. STAY IN DOUBLE NO MATTER WHAT
-We will go into this play IF we are DOWN and need a goal, LAST 3 MINUTES OF THE GAME -If ball is turned over during "DONNER", EVEN BETTER! We do not go into "BLITZ" -MUST put FULL PRESSURE on BALL! -CLOSE the DOUBLE team, play SMART BODY DEFENSE and DO NOT go for a stupid check UNLESS you are on the correct side and it is CLEAN! -When we get the ball, we must BE SMART! Do not lose the ball after we worked so hard to get it, move it up field in the safest way possible, avoid traffic and other players upfield work hard to get open! -Try to PUSH the FAST BREAK if we get it! -Even if they break the double team, GOALIE will REMAIN over the line and we must reset the DOUBLE TEAM and STAY IN IT!! -Super risky play but it will be worth it!
