
The drill begins with the coach making a pass to the first player. The player quickly moves to a scoring position for a shot on net. After the shot the player will in game like speed move around the lower cone grab the loose puck and make a power move around the goalie to score. After the move the shooter will move around the other cone and grab another loose puck and make a power move around the goalie to complete the drill. The drill is to mimic a rebound or loose puck situation.
Key points. Players, Keep your head up and look at the goalie prior to shooting to ensure you are not shooting at the goalie. Change the angle of your shot, use a fake to make the goalie move than shoot. Game Speed, make this drill in a game like fashion, high speed high tempo Goalies: Challenge the shooter, keep low for in tight situations and strong side to side pushes. Feel free to poke check or power to the puck, battle for the save.
