
Players will be first shown the correct technique by the coach before they begin to practise. They will then break down each technique and practise them individually. Once all players feel confident they can then begin to practise getting over the high jump bar. If players find it easy they can be challeneged by increasing the height of the bar.
Talk about the curved run up why that is important. Talk about jumping side on as you can build more height and try to land on 2 feet once they are over the bar. Lift both legs high off the ground and make sure there is no trailing leg as this can affect your jump and may knock the bar off. Speed Jumping Listening Skills
