
1) 911 911 Coloring sheet Strips of red/ yellow/ orange construction paper Glue sticks OR Dot markers/ markers/ crayons 1. Talk to the kids about what number they would call on the phone in case of an emergency- 911. 2. Have the kids rip apart the strips of construction paper into smaller pieces, using their hands. 3. Glue the pieces of construction paper to fit inside the lines of the 911 bubble letters. 4. If you don`t want to use construction paper, you can color in the letters using dot markers, markers, or crayons instead. 2) Footprint Fire Truck or Police Car Blue, black, red and white construction paper Kids scissors Markers Glue sticks 1. Have kids choose to make a police car (blue or black) or fire truck (red). 2. Trace their footprint on the appropriate color paper and have them cut it out with a kids` scissors. 3. Glue the footprint onto a white piece of construction paper. 4. For a fire truck, use a marker to make a red cab on top, yellow light, and black ladder. Have the kids cut out 2 black circles from construction paper for tires and glue them on. 5. For a police car, use a marker to make a black roof, yellow light and tail light. Cut out a white rectangle for a door and 2 black circles for tires from construction paper and glue them on. Write POLICE on the door.
