Drill to ensure players get front an centre to a contest and then give to a someone coming past.
1. Kick to a contest (white cone). This is usually the ruck or tall forward vs opponent and remains static. (See variations below) 2. The yellow cones present front and centre to either crumb the marking contest or receive a handball from the winner of the marking contest. 3. Players Ccoming off the red cones first back up the marking contest and then run to receive the handball from the players from the yellow cone. 4. Yellow and red cones work the ball up to the next group. They kick to the white cones which starts the process again. 5. Variations include: A. Rotate the ruck/forward contest each time. You then have 5 groups rather than 4. Bring the white cone back and have someone lead into the space. Mix it up between a marking contest and punch/tap to the ground. B. You can cut the drill in half with less players. C. Add some defenders to the contest so that all players coming off the cone are used.
