DESCRIPTION

From the blue position the coach throws or handpasses the ball between the cones which are 10m apart. The marking player should take an overhead mark. Ball can then be returned to the coach via a handpass

COACHING POINTS

Primary areas of assessment: Movement to the ball mechanics to mark the ball completion Key learning points: Hands between 45 to 90 degrees, thumbs parallel and arms extended in relation to the ball drop. Player runs to position themselves in suitable location to mark the ball. Grip is maintained on ball for sufficient time to register a mark.
