
The Luke Power Drill is a hard running drill directed at how e want our Wingers to protect our backline and then join into run the ball out the open side of the ground. Ball is kicked to into the forward 50 (replicate intercept Mark) Player A Takes the Mark. The two players at top of the 50 (wingers retreating to protect the backline). Closest to the marking contest wraps around behind the marking player to receive and hand pass. After received hand-passes he then dumps the ball to the second winger who is pushing into the back pocket to receive. As he now has space in-front of him he tucks it under his arm and runs the ball up the wing. With the second winger and Defender running in support. As a group of three work the ball up to the other end of the ground delivering it inside 50. Drill Continues on at the other end using handball
Time your lead and your run. do not get to the receiving position earlier than the ball. Hard unrewarded running in support use your voice to support the ball carrier. Time you run past the CHF again don't end up past the CHF tread water if required. Stay in his Vision.
